Student Testimonies
NP grew up in Burma. He came to the US in 2014. For the last 7 years, he has worked multiple jobs while learning English on his days off. For the last 2 years, he has studied with one of our tutors to gain his US citizenship and practice English. Finally, in May of 2021, he became a US citizen. He continues to work with a Shasta Literacy tutor to improve his English.
MM studied English with Shasta Literacy and after 18 months of working with her tutor, she gained US citizenship. In her words, “Thank you so much to my tutor and to you at the Library. This is so much to me. Thank you.”
