About Us

Shasta Public Libraries is a public library system in beautiful Northern California at the tip of the Sacramento Valley, serving the residents of Shasta County with three branches located in Anderson, Burney, and Redding. SPL serves a rural population of 180,000 residents over 3,847 square miles, acting as an educational and technological center for Shasta County’s communities. The Library provides information and access to all through services such as a Literacy Learning center, technology-based makerspace, special and local collections, and life enrichment programs in order to support the community and help small businesses succeed.
