Shasta Public Libraries storytimes are not only a rockin’ good time for all ages, but also a chance to educate all caregivers on the importance of early literacy learning through song, dance, and play!
Redding Library Storytimes
- Toddler Time
Wednesdays at 11am
Whether you have a walker or a wiggler, toddlers and caregivers can learn social interaction and develop early literacy skills. Ages 2-4.
- Help Me Grow Shasta Storytime
3rd Wednesday at 11am
Join us every third Wednesday of the month to learn about child development with Help Me Grow Shasta and First 5 Shasta. Caregivers and children will learn about important milestones by age with stories, curriculum, and crafts! Ages 0-5.
- Baby Bonding Time
Thursdays at 11:30am
It’s never too early to start learning literacy. Baby social hour where caregivers can bring their babies in to socialize with one another. Play with toys and read board books to help with development and start the foundation of early literacy. Ages 0-2.
Anderson Library Storytimes

Thursdays at 3:30pm
Enjoy great children’s stories, songs, stickers, and crafts. All ages welcome.

Prescription Pets R.E.A.D.
- 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month 10:15-11:15am
- 3rd Saturday of the month 10am-12pm
Come read to a dog (and sometimes a cat) and improve reading skills and confidence. Ages 4-12.
