North State Giving Tuesday 2023
Help support Shasta Public Libraries by donating to our support groups.
Each year at Thanksgiving and the week following, we have a day for giving thanks, two days for getting deals, and a worldwide initiative for giving back – Giving Tuesday.
For a fourteen-hour period, nonprofits throughout the North State will be working to raise as much money as possible in support of local organizations.
Shasta Public Libraries is fortunate to have three organizations participating in Giving Tuesday on our behalf — Shasta Library Foundation, Friends of Shasta County Libraries, and Friends of the Intermountain Libraries, Inc. Their support helps Shasta Public Libraries bring you valuable programs, resources, and events throughout the year. All three will be focusing on raising funds that fit their individual missions.
Donations made at northstategives.org on November 28th will be eligible for a boost from Incentive Pool funds and will help nonprofits win additional prizes. The more you give, the more we can receive.
Donations made to the Shasta Library Foundation will support Shasta Public Libraries as a whole — building the Library’s future, bringing more technology and books to all three branches, and enhancing high caliber programs that nurture literacy, imagination, and lifelong learning. Friends of Shasta County Libraries uses donations to support materials and programming, especially the Summer Blast reading program which helps prevent “summer slide” by helping children retain sharp reading skills for the coming school year. The Friends of the Intermountain Libraries supports the collection and materials in Burney. All three causes are unique to the individual organizations but will all benefit Shasta Public Libraries.
With your help, we can continue to support our programs and our community. We thank all three organizations, and you, for the generous support.
