Income Tax Assistance and E-Filing
with AARP

at the Redding Library

By appointment only.

AARP volunteers will assist seniors, disabled, and low and middle-income folks in preparing their Federal and California State income tax returns for no charge.

Call (530) 500-2206 to make an appointment.

Leave your name and number, and AARP will call back to schedule the appointment. At your appointment time, drop off your documents for your tax return. AARP will prepare and file your return, and then contact you when your documents are ready to be picked up.

AARP is not doing any in-person tax help. All tax help will be contactless.

All returns will be E-filed

Please bring:

  • W-2s, 1099s, Picture IDs, Last year’s return, Social Security cards (required for each person on the return), and any other pertinent documents.
All library programs are free and open to the public.
Tax advice is provided by AARP. The Redding Library and the City of Redding are not responsible for advice given by tax consultants.

The IRS is able to provide us only a limited number of hard copy instructions for forms 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ. Please consider digital copies.
