Welcome to Summer Blast, our Summer Reading Program at the Library
Reading and literacy are important, and we want to encourage everyone to keep reading even when school is out. Our summer reading program helps you keep up literacy and prevent the summer slide with fun events and prizes! Read with us this summer from June 1st to July 31st.

This year we’re using a great app to track and log books! You can download the Beanstack app on your phone, or access Beanstack online through your browser. It makes it really easy to track your reading or your family’s progress throughout the summer.
Beanstack lets you track as a family, and share your reading progress with friends. You can register as an individual, a family, as a class, or even a group. Use Beanstack to help you and your family discover books, keep track of your reading, reach reading goals, and win prizes along the way! You don’t even have to manually log books, you can just scan the barcode with your phone.
Complete reading challenges for tickets, which give you prizes and entries to your grand prize of choice. For kids and teens, this is as simple as reading each day! We also want to encourage all kinds of reading to keep kids and teens active and engaged. For this reason, as long as they’re reading each day, no matter what, you can log the time spent! Physical books, audiobooks, graphic novels, manga, ebooks, magazines, blogs, web comics, and newspapers all count for logging your kids’ minutes.
New this year is the ability to also get prizes by attending events! Earn tickets in Beanstack from attending Library events and use them for more entries in the Grand Prize drawings.
