Current Magazines

We carry a wide variety of magazines. All but the current issue of hard copies are available to be checked out by library users.

Backfile Magazines

We keep previous years of many of our magazines in our Backfile area.

Gale Databases

An online database of many resources including full-text magazine and newspaper articles. If you are accessing the databases from home, please have your library card handy - you will be asked for your 14 digit Library Card Number.

Current Newspapers

We carry several current issues of local and national newspapers. We keep the printed copy of the current month plus the 2 previous months. Older issues of the Record Searchlight are available on microfilm.

Anderson Valley Post, Chico Enterprise-Record, Intermountain News, New York Times, Record Searchlight, Sacramento Bee, San Francisco Chronicle, Wall Street Journal

Old Newspapers

We have a comprehensive collection of Shasta County's major newspapers starting from the 1850s on microfilm. Since then Redding's newspapers have merged 3 different times to bring us to the current Redding Record Searchlight.
