We have 2 venues for you to check out digital media. They each have unique collections and tech requirements. They both allow you to check out great digital books even when you can't get to the library.
With our online digital media, you can check books out, put them on hold, and unlike our hard copy books you don't have to worry about late fees since they are automatically returned at the end of their checkout period.
Visit Overdrive for online eBooks, audiobooks, and videos. Check out and download some great media. Over 18,000 titles to choose from including over 4,500 public domain titles which include many of the classics.
Download Overdrive's Libby app or you can read or listen to your book online.

Type in Northnet for the library. Then add your library card number and choose Shasta Public Libraries.
When signing in select Shasta Public Libraries to then enter your library card number and pin.
How many items can I check out?
You can have up to 10 items checked out at any given time. Digital media is automatically returned at the end of it's lending period.
How long can I keep the items?
The lending period is preset to one of the options below, but you can go into your Account Settings and change future items to any of the 3 different lending period options.

Visit Enki for over 50,000 online eBooks. These include an extensive romance collection, as well as a nice assortment of gardening, crafts, mysteries, and more. Available thanks to NorthNet Library System.
eBooks can be read online or using such viewers like Adobe Digital Editions, Overdrive, various pdf viewers, Bluefire Reader, and others. Many of these are available from Apple's App Store, or Google Play.
